In Estonia, the regular corporate income tax (CIT) rate is 20%. Companies in Estonia are not taxed on their profits until they’re distributed as dividends or considered transferred.
The 20% CIT is usually applied to distributed profits at a rate of 20/80 of the net profit distribution. This tax is different from a withholding tax (WHT) and isn’t influenced by any tax treaties. Some payouts, however, are exempt from this tax.
